We offer 3 different types of Air Infiltration Packages:

Economy Air Infiltration Package

This package consists of using expanding foam sealant and/or caulk to draft stop the openings around the mechanical penetrations that pass thorough existing fire stop assemblies. In addition, the gaps in existing fire stop assemblies are also addressed. Listed below are the specific areas required to be sealed up to 1” in width.

• Floor and ceiling penetrations within wall cavity
• Penetrations from the wall cavity to soffits
• Penetrations from the wall cavity to drop ceilings
• Gaps in fire stop at chases (ceilings, drop ceilings, floors, etc.)
• Gaps at top and bottom of framed walls in front of a masonry wall
• Gaps at top and bottom of double walls
• Penetrations from exterior and interior walls
• Penetrations through draft stops in floor joist or drop ceilings
• Penetrations of the wall or ceiling cavity at cold air returns

Standard Air Infiltration Package

            This package combines everything from the draft stopping package with an air infiltration package. The air infiltration package is designed to seal areas of the home. This process will minimize the free flow of air in the wall cavity. In addition, it will minimize drafts and reduce energy costs. Listed below are the specific areas required to be sealed up to 1” in width.

• All areas from the Economy Air Infiltration Package
• Where wires enter outlet boxes on exterior walls and behind tight outlets
• On houses with vinyl siding or exterior wall penetration a six way stop of that wall cavity
• Penetrations through enclosed or uninsulated corners
• Penetrations through a panelized wall joint
• Penetrations of exterior walls
• Where base plate meets sub floor assembly
• Doubled studs that are gapped 1/8 to ½ inch
• Double studs where daylight shows
• Joints in uninsulated or closed corners
• Gaps at drywall nailers at ceiling line
• Tight places on windows and doors

Premium Air Infiltration Package

            This package includes the sealing of windows and doors with expanding foam sealant with all the benefits of the Economy and Standard Air Infiltration Packages to further reduce air infiltration and increase energy savings. Listed below are the specific areas required to be sealed up to 1” in width.

• All areas form the Economy and Standard Air Infiltration Packages
• Foam all windows and doors
